Kat really fits the Rei persona well. She's very lovely to work with together too.

I live in Sydney and this location is at Angel Place in Wynyard. Been meaning to pair this location with a suitable photoshoot and the opportunity came with this Evangelion shoot.

I really envy you right now!
I just looked trough your other shoots and you most recent one, from Bioshock: I love how you composed the picture with that lightsource.

Also I like and agree with you about your newest Journal entry. I'm going trough a system change right now and I was sure I gonna build up my new system with primes. What I wasn't sure about was if 24, 35 or 50mm is the right for me. 85mm was a given for me. I think it gonna be the 24mm because of the Backround-thingy you mentioned. Time will tell...

Thank you. We were both pretty pleased with the outcome as well. The lighting was quite lovely as it was, not a lot of post processing was required.
With prime lenses, I say try them all. Rent one for a day and see the results that you get from it. It's the most productive and inexpensive way to test lenses out in the field. I had the 35mm and 85mm combo for a while before deciding on the 24mm. The 85mm rarely gets out to play these days but it always deliver as far as results go. I had great results in the past with the 50mm but can't really gel with it due to my shooting style.

Thx for your honest reply!
I really appreciate advices that are more than "buy it, I have it, I love it, you will love it".

I'm looking forward to see more awesome pictures from you

This is amazing, so Evangelion like with the bird cages floating above.

Tehehe, well trying to become a photographer myself I
gotta remember these details myself otherwise
the client ends up unhappy with photos that have nothing
to do with the general idea of the show, even if
I have no clue what its about. xD!

You got it, storytelling is very important in photography. It's gotta be able to say something without words in it.

That is 100% true, and that's why I love photography cause as they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. And sometimes that picture can say more then words ever could. ^_^
