Description I actually had these done a while ago, but they were blind because I had run out of black yarn.

Two dragons and one lion. Red dragon has no arms because I ran out of red yarn, and thought it's not worth buying a whole 'nother ball just to make two little arms. Besides, a real dragon's arms are attached to its wings, no? I made the green dragon first, hence the neck seam is a little messy, and it's ... er, dancing? The lion's mane took forever, the positions of its arms are off, the nose is a little misshapen, and it's supposed to have ears. But -- you guessed it -- I ran out of yellow yarn.

The thing is, I held two strands of yarn together and crocheted them as one strand, to make it thicker. Because thicker yarn is rather difficult to find here. And so, the ball of yarn gets used up pretty quickly.

They are all owned by my little brothers now, who actually bought them. Yeah, they paid me! On normal circumstances I would've just given them to them free of charge, but they really wanted to pay, so I considered the money as their birthday presents to me.

Patterns from here --> [link] (Oh, 404 error. I guess it's no longer online.)

Thanks! The toys are all given away now, my youngest brother is already 10 and there's no particular reason to keep a pile of stuffed animals around...

Yeah, but I'm not very good at it and it made my fingers sore. I got pretty annoyed about it as well.

Yup, I mostly follow free patterns online. The patterns for these used to be at the address --> [link] but it's no longer there. I think it was from an old magazine.

But there are lots more, just search for "free crochet patterns". You gotta learn the stitches and stuff in order to follow the words, though. But there are instructions for those too, hehe.

"10 ways low to destroy cat"

First of all, it's 10 Ways to Kill a Cat (what do you mean "low"? ), and I did make a cat, only it's small and ugly, so malaslah nak tunjuk.

opticx In reply to aneesah [2006-02-13 05:27:46 +0000 UTC]

eheheh.. sorry bout that typo, God know what was goin thru mind. i think i was supposed to be "how" rather than "low" but then again, both are not correct..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

aneesah In reply to ladyNoe [2006-02-12 07:09:50 +0000 UTC]

Whaddya mean, "vinyl"? Vinyl's like that thick material, no?

The creatures were made from yarn. Plain yarn, jenama Minlon yang biasa tu. The wings are from felt, a sort of yarn-like kain I only found at one place -- a store called Haby & Wools kat Ampang Park.

is crochet easy to learn?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

aneesah In reply to rainbow-candy [2006-02-11 01:40:07 +0000 UTC]

Pretty easy, really! These use the most simple stitch, and just a bit of sewing for attaching everything to the body.
