I did this shoot while working with the friendly cosmetology staff at Douglas Education Center in Monessen, PA during their annual creative arts festival, "C.A.F.E" ( check it out sometime! ).

For the Extreme Hair and Fashion show at the event we wanted to portray various kinds of strong women ( all shapes and sizes ) during different times in their lives.

In my particular theme, I was taking the part of a woman who had just gotten out of an abusive relationship. Though "mannequin" like, stiff, bitter and possibly even a little emotionally "cold", a woman can learn from the past, put it behind her, and move on as the fierce creature that she is.

Fittingly, during the runway I walked out to Lady GaGa's "Bad Romance'.

I hope this inspires you to bring out the strength in yourself as well (man or woman!). If you're going through a rough time get your chin up, pick yourself up, you can do it. Love yourself for who you are, work it!
