Description
Finished quite a few of the attacks, most of the poses and some movement.I can finally start animating with it.
Still got like 8 or 9 more attacks to do, plus some other misc. stuff but at least I can actually use it now.
Also, keep in mind it's still a W.I.P, so not everything is organised properly.

I changed his design so he would look more like Sonic.
The original one (albeit with no pants and with different shoes) is here .

His design sucks, but at least he's not a recolor. Still, it looks too much like Sonic. Simply altering a quill and giving him jeans doesn't fix much.
That's all I can really say. I've given up on spriting, but as a friend, I seriously couldn't let my critical thinking go unspoken. Keep doing what you love, just take what I said into consideration my dude.

I actually changed his design to look more like Sonic intentionally.
The shoes are actually different but you can't tell because of the pants. As it stands right now, this is just a stand-in anyways.
But his similarity to Sonic is intentional.
The original design was easily distinguishable from Sonic but I changed it to this.
I'm aware I'm gonna get a lot of heat from people 'cause he looks so much like Sonic, I really don't care. I've got my reasons for making him this way.
But everything aside, it's nice to hear from you again.

Honestly, I don't know. I've been toying around with designs and this one is more of a stand-in.
When placed next to Sonic you can tell 'em apart but otherwise, they look pretty similar.
I've got a different design in the works right now but honestly I dunno how I'm gonna get it done.

Just keep brain storming, eventually you'll figure it out.
Sonic FC's in general tend to suck. Even if you do make a good FC, you're honestly holding yourself back by making it a Sonic FC. A lot of people apply anime tropes (especially Shonen) to Sonic FC's, which makes me wonder why they don't do JUS spriting.
So ultimately, you just gotta do whatever's fun for you. That's the only reason you should be making Sonic FC's. 'Cuz you think it's fun. Or you're a furry, both are not uncommon. lol

Honestly, I just want a simple design on the Sonic-style version of him. It's a character but it's not specifically a Sonic FC, just that I have him with a Sonic FC design/sheet.
Plus I don't want like all the ridiculous quills that most people get. I'll send you a screenshot of the W.I.P I've got right now in a note.

People steal too much nowadays. I've actually had some of my sprites stolen before but I never met the guy or saw them in use.
