Description "She's alive!!!"

Yes...well, for my workshop class at uni we had to pick a film to translate into drawings and/or paintings. And me, being a lover of horror films (with a soft spot for old films), after several weeks of changing my mind and stuffing around, finally settled on the 1935 film "Bride of Frankenstein", which my housemate Roxy suggested to me.

I can't believe I hadn't seen it before!!! It's amazing!!! If you haven't seen it, go out and see it immediately!!! That's an order.

So, this is The Bride, taken from a still I took of the film. She only gets about 5 minutes of screen time, but she is kind of totally awesome!

I spent way too much time on this, I decided I wwould do a quick ink sketch before calling it a night...and three hours later at one in the morning I'm finally finished, and it's hardly a sketch any longer.

Ink on canson drawing paper.

GREAT!
I guess I m going to join the digital art class next sem anyway
Flash animation design (and game, for that matter) is always my passion

Otherwise anything that allow me to escape from the Painting Extension regime is just fine

Haha, regime...That sounds like it would rock!!! You won't miss doing portraiture or anything though? You are very good at that, so I kinda assume you like it.

I am really wanting to get into honours, because I can take my honours through graphic design and do a year of just illustration. It's what that guy Daniel, who built all the robots last year, has done. Nobody knew it was technically possible until he did it. All I want to do is write books and illustrate them!!!

The funny thing is nothing puts me off the idea of fine art more than art school...lol.

haha that suck
Of coz I would not miss them! I m still studying in the painting major. I just hate the extension which require me to 'experiment with new things include but not limit to 5 mins junk'

Speak of the digital art class, found to my disappointment that I can't enrol it because didnt do a prerequisite course....and I doubt if I would successfully enroll without it anyway coz I hv made my enrollment too late odds are high that I m going to take another sem of painting extension....

Ok
Bring it next time you go to Gippsland.
Is it better than Mel Brooks' Young Frenkenstein?

Love the picture

Tony

Thanks!

Perhaps not better...just different.

Mel Brooks drew upon it fairly heavily for Young Frankenstein.

I'll definitely bring it with me.
