Very nice and emotional. Though something I imagined was that Spyro would outlive Cynder to see the next purple dragon be born to make sure the torch is passed and he/she understands their destiny...just something I thought of.
Anyway, this is very emotional and well done!

Yeah, kind of want to write a one shot story of him 'passing the torch' to his successor in prson and then peacefully passing on to be reunited with his family and friends in the after life. It'd be sad to write, but I think it'd also be rather heartwarming.
