This scene happened hours before the prom night. Carrie and Brick joined to shop together at Seeber's Prescriptions, waiting outside, a random girl decided to ask Brick for some information and he accepted politely. While Carrie was testing the lipsticks, she noticed Brick wasn't there and when she found him talking to another girl - she didn't know the why, but she felt as she wanted to pull him back to get close to her. But instead, she just came in side of him. The random girl asked if was she his girlfriend. Even without say anything, she grabbed his arm as way to tell ''Yeah, he's mine.", and Brick helped the situation, explaining the girl that they were busy and they need to go back - making the random girl kept laughing and leaving them.
