I like to seem independent,
Wild and free too.
Proud to walk alone
Like the lion in the zoo.

But I cannot stop it.
This feeling will not cease.
This smile on my face,
It never shall decease.

I’m living in reality,
As if it was a dream.
Please tell me that it’s real
And all is as it may seem.

I’ve fantasised these moments,
Had plenty of time to dwell.
My independence doesn’t fool you
You know me oh so well.

I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic
A sucker for corny lines.
Big emotional gestures.
