This week (or really last week) was Hobbit week on Ten Paces And Draw! I got my awesome Gollum sketch from Houston Trueblood and my Smaug sketch was sent over to Roy Phillips. Love it, though what I like the most is the cavern's opening, suggests almost The Eye in a nicely subtle way while not distracting from the main drama of this creature staring at us. As menacing as he is you also captured the misery of the character too...just great work over all.

This is the most perfect Gollum illustration I've ever seen, just stunning! If there was The Hobbit with your illustrations available to buy I wouldn't hesitate a moment, all this detail, the colors, the lighting, just wow wow wow *u*
