Description
Due to the snow storm last weekend I didn't get power back until Thursday and my entry for this week's illustration friday (scary) word got delayed. Better late than never, I did one of my favorite pieces of local folklore and created a unique Headless Horseman. Even though Halloween is over I still want to do some more horror themed pieces, been thinking about creating an illustration for the movie, Hocus Pocus. Also going to do ArtOrder's latest challenge, the Queen of Mars.You can watch a video of me inking here, [link]

SO COOL! The horseman looks like a medieval knight. And (correct me if I'm wrong) to me, the covering on the horse (forget the name for that type of coat or blanket) looks like it's made out of peacock feathers. Anyway, good job. I'd hate to encounter this guy on Halloween.

This is amazing. The detail! I love the horse's cloven hooves, and the eyes on the horsecloak (probably has a name, but I don't know it...) the unnatural iris blossoms, and as always your sheer compositional skills- just amazing work!

This is fabulous. This is what illustration is about. I love the wildness in the horse's eye, the intricate details everywhere, it really is a visual feast. I like the costume you designed for the horseman as well as the grinning jack-o-lantern which is a change, as most depictions of him have a scowling face or scary face. The background colors are gorgeous and really make the horseman 'pop'. Again, fabulous work!
