Many thanks to for giving permission to use this wonderful pic


I learned a lot from this drawing.

I started off too heavily with the eyelids and I used cheap pencils which left little bits behind when I tried to blend.
Once I started the grapes, I used more expensive pencils, which I hate to admit, were better and easier to use.


A4
Coloured pencils for eyes
Pastel pencil for the first layer of skin.
Caran D'ache coloured pencils for everything else.
Pencil eraser

I'm liking the color scheme in your drawing even more then the original photo. The darker somewhat blueish tones in the green create much better contrast and the attention is drawn straight to the eye in your drawing. Beautiful work

With this reference nothing speaks against strong colours, so I actually really like how you have drawn the eyes!
