This is stunning. I love the simplicity and the grain and black and white together. Perfectly composed.

Nice pic, pretty, but... kind of sad on another. I like it very much, beauty in simplicity. Makes me the idea of a girl who wants to forget... and the sea has no identity, the sea is a way to leave the past...

I love the 3-layer composition. The grain is great. Looks like a still from an old movie.

i can't begin to comment on this.. this is past simplicity, beauty... its complexity an expression of fascination - deep perception inversed upon itself; i cannot comprehend!

inspiration at its best.

I like the use of grain. Gives it a lonely, vintage look. This reminds me a lot of that old series of books, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, good times Very nice photo.

this is just plain wow. I think it's time to pick up my EOS and start shooting with it. I actually have taken about 20 films full of shot, but never had the time to make them prints.
my favourite is ilford's hp5+ @1600 ^__^.
as digital photography is as good as analog, I still feel my heart getting warmer when I see a photo captured to film .

the grainyness of the photo almost gives it a creepy feel to it, like it should belong in the movie 'the ring'. very nice though.

this bare, stark, and at the same time hazy. your description resonates. combined with the photo, it makes me think of independence as a lonely bank on a fathomless sea under a sky of pathos. maybe that's why this works so well? three vistas, stretching out to oblivion, and then the person...who is practically phantasm, an apparition, no longer anything at all except maybe a spot of isolation amongst vast blankness. free to dissapear completely.

very emotional for me. thanks.

yes, very artistic, the layout and composition is something to be proud of, the simplistic manner even magnifies that dreary effect by a lot too, its a wonderful shot.

I have to agree with fote.. it really sums up my emotion for a long time past... but hey, maybe someday i'll find my way to the front of the picture frame and past all the noise...

but your picture will always show its emotion beautifully. wonderful job.

the grain really helps add to the visual texture of the clouds/sand to me - and the lines formed in the horizon almost come out like an abstract Rothko painting
