Parody of the cover of Kuroshitsuji vol 5, dur hurrr
I don't know since when, but at some point I started calling Sebastian "Gyendal" and it's stuck now. Seriously, every time I see a volume of Kuroshitsuji with Sebastian in the cover, I say "Oh, there goes Gyendal being his usual creepy self" now. Ciel looking sort of like a mini version of Mel doesn't help. At all.
Kinda is a variation of the Evil Queen Mel and Pet!Gyendal plot, basically. As in "Mel rules the world and Gyendal is her pet/servant/slave/whatever". I might as well make the obligatory crossover parody.
On to the art!
That bottle he's holding is blood-wine. The vampire equivalent of alcohol made from blood. The emblem on the bottle is a tinkered version of the full Ravenfoot coat of arms, made to look more like the Phantomhive coat of arms from the original cover.
I can't find the kanji font for Kuroshitsuji, so I had to design the kanji for "raven" myself and manually vector it. The kanji for "butler" is traced off the original cover. That swirly pattern thing in the border was PAINFUL to make. Too hard to trace off the original cover and it's not easy to find a generic swirly pattern that looks good enough. Finally found an okay one, though I had to tinker the hell out of it to make it fit.
So proud of this, mwahahahahaha
Sketch on paper, inks with SAI, colours and layout on Photoshop. Yeah, I am aware that this thing is narrower that the original, but whatever.

Ok so I know it's been a few years but I absolutely had to comment on this as a superfan of both Kuroshitsuji and Aveyond.
Gyendal is probably one of my top fav characters in the Aveyond saga and I laughed so hard when I saw this because I had never compared the two characters before but now whenever I look at the cover for volume five all I'm gonna see is this.
lol, now I just have to go find a crossover crack fic where Sebastian and Gyendal are related and I'll be satisfied......maybe

Tho Sebastian and Gyendal pretty much look about the same so neither is more handsome than the other. Except Gyendal looks like a Spaniard and Sebastian looks like a Brit.

Doesn't mean that they don't look the same just cuz you favour Seb. They do look nearly identical manga-wise, so it's not too far-fetched to assu that it would still be the case even IF I were to provide realism pictures of them. Again, their only difference is that Gyendal has a Hispanic face and Sebastian would probably have a British face. Because, you know, Kuroshitsuji supposedly is set in Great Britain.

I like Gy more a a character just because Sebastian is a fanservice character. Gy is not. He's supposed to be a character people don't like. I'm just the weirdo who loves NPC villains.

i like villians too, but sebastian has this charisma that makes me like him, my friend told me you like characters of the same type, she says that Sebastian, Itachi, Madara, Gyendal & Ace (my most fav fandoms) all look the same to her, i guess she's right, i do like guys with black hair, and red eyes...

Oh, there are plenty of guys who look like Gyendal. And half of them are just as bad a creep as Gyendal is. Sebastian? Charisma my foot. In my eyes he's a creep just like Gyendal. Each to their own, of course, but that's what I think.
