(2006, pen & ink w/Prismacolor pencil on sketch paper)This mermaid is part of an art trade with She's probably one of the most complicated mermaids that I've done as far as colors and patterns go. She was a lot of fun to do. I still haven't come up with a name for her yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post it here.
*April 8, 2006: I've decided to name her Amelia. I'm not sure why. I guess I've always liked that name; it sounds very feminine to me. Also, coincidentally, it also happens to be the name of one of my heroes, Amelia Earhart, who was one of the first female aviators.

I tried to keep some guppies once. They died... THEY DIIIED!!

Ooh... leaky aquarium is not good. My fish success record as a whole isn't good, but I did manage to keep one pair of goldfish for about six years. Then my mom accidentally killed them with soap. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

I love this!!! Its so georgous, and it makes me want to draw a mermail with a super colorful georgous tail! YAY! This is your best one yet! Its cool that you switched up the pose alittle too. Very fabulous.

Hehe, thanks! The tail was super fun to do. I tried to find a picture of the most colorful guppy possible. I really wanted to go crazy with the colors. Hmm...could this be the beginning of a guppy series perhaps? Maybe...

Oooh...I like the blue and orange one. I also really like the black one with the orange tail. There's something very dignified about him. I'm definitely going to have to turn these two into mermaids!

I only have the girl done at the moment, the boy is giving me issues. I might just scan in the girl and give you the boy at a later date....The girl is done all in pen crosshatching and wot. I hope it's up to par. If I have time I'd like to redraw it in Photoshop with the Wacom. Does it have to be actual Tigershark coloured, or can I make it a bit of faerie tale? It has a ribbon around it's tail in any case...

The tigershark is totally open to your interpretation. Go wild! You can color her hot pink if you wanted to, lol! In any case, I'm sure she looks great. As far as the boy goes, all I can say is keep trying. The only way to get better at anything you do is to keep practicing.
Man, I wish I had Photoshop. If I did, I'd probably redo ALL of my drawings with it. Photoshop always makes stuff look so professional.
