1/1/19 EDIT: I only managed to get the 4th book of the series 'cause the barns and noble bookstore in my state didn't have any 1st, 2nd, or 3rd books of the manga. ;3;

Otherwise known in english as "Land of Lustrous", this manga (Including the anime adaptation) tells the story of Phosphophyllite (Phos for short), a weak jewel person who is assigned to create a natural history encyclopedia with the help of another jewel named Cinnabar, all while the jewel people defend themselves from their enemies, the Lunarians, who seek for their luxury value. This is a very beautiful anime with it's fluid animation and breathtaking effects. Heck, I even found the Cgi animation to be very appealing to look at when we have animes like berserk 2016...*shudders* My favorite character in the show and manga is Phos because despite their attitude, I can see why they're trying to be useful (Even if they don't like hard work) and they are aware that they're considered useless, yet they manage to talk big about themself, just like me. By the way, yeah, this manga and anime does remind me of steven universe, but reminder, the manga was published a year BEFORE steven universe aired, so no arguments here. So in short, this was a pretty great anime to watch. I haven't read the manga yet, but I'll see if they're in bookstores near me. The story's great, the characters are cool with lovely designs, the music's nice, the animation is terrific, and it's all in all a great anime to watch in 2017 and 2018 (Because I recently watched this show and yet it ended about a month ago).
