I convinced my boyfriend to make a dragon OC!!! He described his vision to me and I drew it. 😊 Super fun!!

Here's some background on this buddy:

Voleister is a dragon of the southern swamps of daath. Enslaved since the moment of his hatching by the exiled Wizard Faulk, he was freed from his bondage when the Paladin Rachinald: The Light of Coradra at last found and defeated Faulk in an epic clash. Rachinald then took pity on Voleister, using his blessed war hammer to channel holy light from the heavens which purified the dragon’s mind; granting him free will for the first time in his life.

Leaving the southern swamp behind along with his past, Voleister now seeks life and adventure across the lands- the ecstasy of his newfound freedom surging through him as he experiences life outside his swamp for the first time.

The swamp dragons of Daath are a wingless species native to the southern swamps. They spend most of their life in and around the waters of the swamp, though they do not require the moisture to function as other species do (though their skin can become quite dry and irritated if left dry and or exposed to prolonged heat). They have long been hunted for the virulent poison produced from glands in the the back of their mouth, which the dragons spit short distances as a form of self defense. The poison is potent hemotoxin in the form of a sticky liquid which adheres and absorbs through the skin and orifices, causing massive bleeding and hemorrhaging. The swamp dragon’s most potent weapon, however, is its hood; which when opened reveals an ever-changing hypnagogic pattern that quickly mesmerizes anything which gazes upon it, leaving its prey helpless. Those seeking to hunt the dragons for their venom carry mirrored shields, as the creatures are not immune to their own hypnotic powers.
