Think of the time you had together to ease the loneliness and look forward to next time. Your dropping her off at the airport reminds me of just how big your country is.
Jenny May is growing at an alarming rate lol At the moment I seem to be her favourite climbing frame. I shouldn't complain I love every second of it.
Wedding preparations are coming on really well to. Saturday gone was my stag night. Never been so drunk in many years. My friends decided that my not drinking didn't apply for one night. I must admit I had a really good time.
Take care my friend.

No worries man, I hope you can work things out and start to feel better soon.
Are you in North Carolina? I live in Durham City, I believe there's a city of the same name in your state. Over here seven hours driving will take you from one end of the country to the other. Perhaps two hours in a plane would be the longest internal flight.
The top of Jenny May's head comes level with my belt now. She's big for her age so people are often shocked to find out she's only two and a half years old. She's a little timid around other kids and physical activities but makes up for it intellectually. Adults in shops are often surprised when she strikes up conversations with them that are way in advance of her age. Her greeting me at the door with a big smile on her face when I come home from work is still the greatest feeling in the world lol.
To be honest I've had little or nothing to do with the wedding plans. I just nod and agree with anything Dawn wants. As far as I know it's all sorted aside from some minor details. Jenny May as you rightly guessed will be performing flower girl duties. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you. I like the sound of doing it on your parents anniversary. I'm big on family traditions but don't see why new ones can't be started every now and again.
I was rather amused at being the only non drinker at my Stag night and after large amounts of whisky being drunk being the only one to wake up without a hang over. In my youth, like most Scots, I was a heavy drinker so I guess it's like riding a bike, once you can do it you never forget. No attempt to dress me up or humiliate me was made I'm glad to say.
I'm completing edits on my latest work at the moment. If anything is suitable I'll enter the contest but if not I'll perhaps enter the next one as I'm not shooting again until August now.
Take care my friend.

Me too.It seems an eternity since I had any happiness at all.But things are turning around yet slowly. So time will tell I guess. So thanks so much for the concern.Without my good DA friends,I don't know what I'd do.
Yeah we have a medium sized area called Durham. It's home to my favorite college basketball team. The Duke Blue Devils. The school is huge and it's actually a medical college for doctors, nurses, etc.Their hospital is top ranked as well for how good it truly is.It's about,roughly,5 or so hours away if I drove there. Not sure about the driving time but that's close I think.Never been there but I'd love to and catch a home game for the Blue Devils. It's kinda close to the ocean too.Perhaps a couple hours or so drive away from the Atlantic.Wow,7 hours to get from coast to coast? How do you choose which beach to go to in summer time? LOL Just kidding Davie. Due to the price difference,it would probably be cheaper to drive. It would here.Plane tickets have the potential to get expensive.I paid a little over $914 USD to get my little sister here from Canada.Ouch! But having 7 hours to drive from either coast would be a beach lovers dream here.It takes me 6 hours, give or take due to any stops along the way, just to get to the Atlantic ocean from where I live.Someday I wanna go to the coast of my own state and see the lighthouse.Might do that someday after my GF moves in.I think it would be an amazing yet romantic trip.If we do get married, could be a great place to take a honeymoon.
Well it is HER day after all.So unless you want to spend more time in the doghouse than your own home, best to do as you're doing and say yes to anything she needs and wants. LOL Have you guys set a date?If so,do tell and remind me okay? That's wonderful Jenny May will be the flower girl.I bet she's excited too isn't she? Yeah my parents anniversary would make a great day but I'll have to see first.Don't wanna end up in the doghouse. LOL We'll have traditions coming out both our bums before we know it. LOL Like holidays, vacation travel destinations, etc. .So I'm not too terribly worried about having traditions. If we get married,I could care less how and be more blessed just to be her husband. So definitely keep me posted on the date and such alright?Just know that I'm more than happy for you both.So make sure Dawn and little Jenny May get good hugs for me okay?
Woah you got sooo lucky on the no hangover.I've never truly had one at any of the rare times I ever got drunk.I did get sick each time but I don't remember ever having a hangover.Plus I try to avoid drinking anything on an empty stomach.Gets me buzzed faster and drunk a lot quicker too.If you plan it out right,9 chances out of 10,you won't get drunk or at least get any kind of a hangover. But I am very relieved you didn't wake up with crap on all over your face or get humiliated in any way.In the very least, you didn't wake up naked on the front porch or yard. LOL That would totally suck sooo bad on so many levels. LOL However,I am definitely glad to hear you had a good time with your friends though.Good memories my friend, very good memories.
Well I hope you have something to use though. Not many have entered thus far.But it's still early yet though. So if you do enter, best of luck to you and all my absolute best in the contest. Between you and me and the lamp post, search your gallery. If you have anything with the theme of summer in it,submit that.I never said anything in the journal that outlined the contestΒ that it absolutely had to be something newly made.(BIG hint) However,it would be great if all contestants did something new though. But I never did use making something new only as a rule.I just wonder if anyone else picked up on that yet. LOL
So she's THAT tall now?Wow.2 1/2 years old and tall enough to meet your waist? She must get the "tallness gene" from yours or Dawn's side of the family. If I gave you my e-mail address, would you be willing to do a family photo so I could see you guys?No pressure mind you but I'd enjoy seeing all of you.Let me know and I'll send it in a note. You'll have to either let me know yours or say something in the e-mail title so I'd know it was from you.I can even post it on DA for you if you'd like to.I know that you once told me you couldn't due to the type of photography you post. But that's so totally up to you.If you said no,then it will be no.Same for yes.I respect you too much to do it anyways.
Well you 3 have a great day and a fantastic weekend alright?Get some rest when you can through the whole wedding planning okay?Ttys Davie and I love you guys.
You:

Things that grow slowly are usually worth the most and last the longest in my experience.
America's love of school and college sports is kind of strange to us over here. School and college sports are only of interests to the participants and their families. Occasionally a national youth team will get a minor mention in the press but that's about it. Sorry when I said seven hours I meant from the far north to the far south. The east coast is about 20 minutes drive from us and the west is probably around 90 minutes. In fact if you're a movie fan you've probably seen my closest beach in films like the original Get Carter or Aliens 3. Google Blast Beach and you'll see what I mean. I like Lighthouses too although I do tend to take them for granted. They're fairly common on our coast lines but very few of them are still in service nowadays having being replaced by satellite navigation technology. About an hours drive north from here we've miles and miles of sandy beaches and sand dunes. Mostly these beaches are deserted as being on the exposed north sea coast it's just too cold most of the time to sit on them. I agree with you a beach honeymoon would be fantastic and hope it happens for you.
The wedding is on the 27th of this month and we're holding it back home in Edinburgh. People are travelling from all over the country and I really appreciate the effort they're making. Jenny's looking forward to the wedding but to be honest I don't think she's grasped the concept that much. As far as she's concerned there's a big party and dressing up lol. I'll be sure to give her a hug from you.
I used to be in a band with most of the guy's I went on the stag night with (Roadie and sound guy)so after nearly ten years of living out of each others pockets, and the close bond that it created, I wasn't too worried that they'd do anything to me. Plus the fact they all knew my vengeance would be a terrible thing to behold lol.
Send me your email and I'll send you some pictures of the family at the wedding.
Take care my friend.
