It's raining as usual, and you are returning home late at night. There's only one other person at the bus stop, a figure clad in a grey jacket. He appears to be asleep and it's dark so there's nothing much to see, and you lose interest. But not before you spot a sleek metallic bat tucked in his waist band. Why would a normal citizen need a bat like that? Baseball is only played in schools now, since the government decided sports was far too rowdy, and he looks too old to be a child anyway. His head suddenly turns and you are fixated with a strong gaze and a wry smile. It is only then that you notice the tattoos snaking down his exposed legs. Ah, he's one of those. Nobody in the safe zone would dare get tattoos like that. The rain is letting up, and you are momentarily distracted by the moon emerging from the clouds. Suddenly, you wonder how that mysterious boy even got past the gates. You look sharply back at him only to see him getting to his feet. He adjusts his backpack which, upon the press of a button, unfolds into large mechanical wings. That answers your question. Your shock is plain to see, for he grins at you, and... flies off.

Tristan lives in a futuristic world that has fallen far from its glory days. Money, power and greed corrupted the thriving city, and it fell into the hands of the oppressive. Unlike Poe, who grew up in one of the 'safe zones', Tristan was brought up in one of the area between the slums and the safe zones. It's still considered part of the badlands so Tristan didn't really have a choice but to join the resistance if he wanted to make a change. There are two main groups, the resistance and the rebellion; the former is more focused on espionage and infiltration, while the latter uses militarized and sometimes violent methods.

Personality-wise, he's usually upbeat and energetic, and once upon a time he was very idealistic about things changing. But after everything he's seen since being recruited, he's become very cynical and somewhat sarcastic, though without losing his drive. The saying "every cynic is a disappointed idealist" really suits him. Still, he's very empathetic and this causes him to care too much, and his comrades have to restrain his actions.
