oh I should have known, it is a strong aesthetic. I guess because both of his images had the same kind of half-dressed thing, I thought it might be contributing to the character but now I see it was just consistency with his looks!Β
wouldn't that be hilarious if a character who couldn't be cut by mortal weapons just went into battle flaunting his chest like 'wow look at all you mooks in your armor, sucks to be you guys' LOL

you know the ironic thing about his geometric tattoos is, I wonder if he's good at drawing them or if he is good friends with a tattoo artist and he shows them his scribbles and the tattoo person is like... "uhg, not again"Β
on the flip side maybe he's obsessively good at drawing geometric shapes and they are woven into spells or something
