Description
I figured since today was Halloween, I would upload a piece of art I did a while back for my art class. We were allowed to choose a theme, so I went with mythology/crytids. This one here is the Jorogumo, a Japanese spider creature that takes the form of a woman. Some legends claim them as beneveloent spirits that protect people from drowning, others have them playing the biwa in order to lure victims in to devour.The second interpretation is the one illustrated.
