December was an excellent month for film geeks like me. Disney animations return with another addition of the exploited Princess franchise, Camaron's first movie in years finally hits, and the Holmes movie I've been waiting for over a year comes out with my Robert Downey Jr. fix. My expectations were well exceeded, and I thought to give tribute to the colorful cast of leading ladies from each movie.

Tiana
This was an unexpected one for me because I really wasn't getting hyped up in the "first black princess" deal. I can see why it was marketed like that, but there were much better things going for this girl. She's a hard working girl in the '20s trying to make her father's dream of owning a restaraunt come true. It's nice to see Disney's actually growing up in a good direction, and I'll be more than happy if this proved to be the jolt of life the Animation Studios needed.

Irene Adler
This is was a fun character in a fun movie. The Holmes and Watson were already damn good, but the injection of Irene Adler was just the icing on the cake. A playful little minx, she knows how to make things go her way. I just loved her so much.

This was a damn good movie. I can't listen to the negative critics on this one because this was a damn good movie.
