Description
This illustration, although outwardly innocent, refllects a very distirbing nightmare I once had, which semi predicted the future. The dream was about a hallucinating sparrow that heeded a talking peeble's warning about an incoming bear of pain preparing to harm everything in the forrest. The sparrow then took the pebble and cracked open her egg in an attempt to save her chick from the bear.

Since it was such an odd subject for me to draw, I decided to take a more twisted route in coloring this and I went crazy with the colors, the designs, and halftones. Also, the background is actually a poem. Under technicality, this picture took me over a month to finish: I started it on photoshop and abandoned the lineart. Then I redrew it from a different perspective on paper and colored over that on photoshop. What a mess it was.
