YAY!!!!! IT'S VULPIX!!Ok, if you are wondering "Wth??", this is for the and the Pokemon Gijinka Project. It sounded fun so I joined and this is my first submission. Vulpix was my favorite pokemon (oh come on, you know you all watched it too!! And how can you NOT like Vulpix!!) and I drew her first.
I wanted to draw Vulpix as a little girl because she is the unevolved form. Not sure if she looks like a little girl, but I think she came out good. I wanted to see how outlining in color was compared to outlining in black. I like it. She's so HAPPY!!! YAY!! Her outfit was going to have flames all over it but I wasn't sure how to do that, so I tired using the airbrush and different colors of orange. Let me know what you guys think and how I can improve!!

She's so cute! Strictly speaking I am of the opinion that there is no such thing as too much cuteness (assuming it's genuine i.e. not a caricature or parody.) Genuine cuteness comes from the heart; if you hate cuteness you can't draw it genuinely. Examples of genuine cuteness include:

Simba
Vulpix
Pikachu
Pichu

On pkmn ruby, saphire and emerald you can enter into pokemon contests. I have a vulpix devoted to cute contests. Which means that all the moves that fall under the catagory of cute can be used for appeals. The pokemon with the most appeals wins. A cute name helps too.

Yes, I need to work on my shading more. I got a little...err...overzealous with it, I guess. LOL I'm going to try and focus more on that on my next one.

very cute indeed! I still suck at shading...it's hard for me to picture the source of light. even worse is when you do the shading one way, and you do a bg with lighting that doesn't fit it.

She's cute. And being able to do flames in a kimono-like design isn't easy. Especially when you consider how the folds in the clothes affect how the design will look. I can see you're starting to get the concept of shading, but before you start shading randomly, you need to figure out the source of light. Otherwise, the shading is just going to look weird.

The different colors of the kimono aren't meant to be shading. It's just different colors (kinda like flames are different colors, that's what I was trying to do anyways).
