Description Photoshop. Initial sketch is in scraps.
Edit:
Thanks for the comments!
Here is why these two are asian.
I was far more inspired by Caravaggios take on the story than the story itself. Throughout the ages so many amazing pieces have been done on the subject, I thought I should chime in with my own. I am not religious in the slightest, so I used a twist on the subject matter to play with the original concept, while referencing some great paintings throughout history.

I think most artists were NOT really religious, they just painted for the church as a source of work. I love Caravaggio, a master of light and dark, and this is a great way to update the idea, simultaneously horrible and beautiful, capturing the effect of "night-time" lighting, and all the more charming because of the cute cheeky grin of the smoking young lady, smoking after a "nice session?" Great work.

You should rename them in Asian as well. (They certainly look like Chinese. Could be Malay, but I dunno...)

Oh, I remember this [story] from Art History. I like this interpretation nearly as much as Artemisia Gentileschi's.

you really did fantastic work on this. I love the compositions and colors you used, her nonchalant attitude and the grotesque of this painting. they just create such a frightening and stunning contrast I also like the job you did technically. the sharp, textured background contrasts nicely to the painterly slightly blurry feel of the figures.

the story of this is timeless and can trandsend racial boundries that is why it is a classic. interesting take on it. I've always love Gentileschi' s version.
