The research proved successful until Professor Bloodriver and his Hooligans infiltrated the Center of Belly Research. They launched a vicious attack, subjugating Carla and twisting her into Professor Bloodriver's mind-controlled pawn. Their sinister agenda threatened to obliterate everything from within, including Carla's invaluable research. But Belinda, Emily, and Angry-Signs manage to break her free from Professor Bloodriver's mental control. Despite their efforts, Carla has suffered significant damage at the hands of Professor Bloodriver. Sara, seeing her friend's plight, takes her to Henrietta for treatment, hoping to heal the wounds inflicted upon her by the malevolent professor. After Professor Bloodriver's defeat, Carla, recovering within Henrietta's belly, communicates with the group through Sara about a demolition plan from the Hooligans aimed at destroying the Pregnant Forest and blowing up the Pregnant Factory in HurmShurm.
