Innovative use of different materials. Why didn't I think of that?

How did you make this? I have been experimenting with wax paintings but I still have much to try.

Bought about 3-4 packs of crayons. Hot glued them in color order to a 2 foot board. Leaved the canvas up against a wall and sat the crayon board on top. Used a hair dryer (or heat gun) to slowly melt and drip down. Blow drops to spread and mix paint. I put the crayons on a board to there would be no trace of them.

Okay so, the background is the crayon and then the black is paint, and the paint was dropped on and then blown with the hair dryer? I really thought the black was the paint lol. Thanks for the info!

Maybe I phrased it wrong. yes the black is paint. The hairdryer blows and melts the wax and spreads it around. Then, later I dripped black paint and kept turning the painting 90 degrees for the different angles. Just wait for the drip to stop before spinning, otherwise it is crocked. try it!Here is a video.
