"Why, hello there, stranger! Are you lost, or simply wandering?"

The voice echoed in the snowy wind.

He stopped, looking back to a cliff nearby him, and decided to approach it. Upon looking up, he saw a dappled stallion with a strange fabric wrapped around his neck, and a little goat standing next to him.

There are so many possibilities I thought up just with this scene alone.

This is an entry for 's Equus Siderae drawing contest!
I chose Elan, because for the current set of the comic, he fit the most for a realistic interaction with my character, Eli Mountainhooves .

A little about Eli:
(His personality is in the ref, along with info on the goat)
Eli Mountainhooves was born into the Mountainhooves herd, a herd of skilled mountain climbers who lived in the deep set of the mountains. While he loved his life, he always wanted something more. He wanted freedom, adventure. When he was old enough, Eli said a lighthearted goodbye to his family, and he was off. From there, he lived a life of adventure, exploring the mountains, and many lands more. He is often seen in the mountains, however he can be found virtually anywhere. At one point of his life, he had aquired a scarf, which is quite special to him. On one snowy night, the scarf had flown from his neck into a place he cannot reach. This is where he met his goat, Finn, who retrieved his scarf for him. Since then, the two always traveled together, even if Eli can't understand a single word he says.

The scenes and possibilities I thought up of!
Because Eli lived in a herd, I had a little idea that Elan might have strayed far on a thoughtful walk, and ended up where he is now in the drawing. They would talk, Eli would eventually tell Elan of his past life in a herd, and saying how wonderful it truly was. I thought that maybe, perhaps, this might had sparked the idea of Elan having a herd himself.

Another would be the same scenario, but instead Eli gave Elan the idea of freedom, to simply leave the place that bothered him and go for a new life, like Eli had.

And the last would be set after Elan left the four realms, but was having doubts, and came across Eli, who reassured him to follow what he thought was best.

Now, Eli definitely wouldn't have been one to tell Elan to just leave without a goodbye, but when he tells him to follow what feels best, he means it with a good heart.
Either way, Eli is basically that wise traveler who will try to help you if you need it. But he'll never be the one to stick around. He prefers to be alone, and if you want to travel with him, you better keep up. He won't wait for you.

Anyway, this is my entry. I really hope you like it!! I'm not great at assuming how characters are, but I tried my best to get Elan's personality from how I saw him in the comic!
