Description Batman, Jonah Hex, and all related characters are the property of DC Comics.

Here's a couple of headsshot--one for Wild West hero Jonah Hex and the other for Bat-baddie Two-Face.

I blame pictures for Batman: Arkham City in Game Informer and an article in TV Tropes for this.

As noted earlier, there are pictures for Batman: Arkham City, the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, in the latest issue of Game Informer, including pics of Two-Face. They'd went the The Long Halloween/The Dark Knight route for his scars. I always liked that, so I wanted to try it.

The right side is based on his The New Batman Adventures design with a couple of touches from his earlier Batman: The Animated Series design. The left sides/scarred? Yeah, as mentioned earlier, Tim Sale's version of Two-Face, The Dark Knight's version, and the Arkham City version inspired that.

For Jonah Hex, the main sources for his were his designs for Justice League Unlimited, Batman: The Brave and the Brave, and the DC Showcase short that was on the two-disk from of Batman: Under the Red Hood.

Hope you guys like them.

I can imagine the meeting: There's a panel of the two men in a saloon, facing each other. Β The normal sides of their faces are to the reader, while the scarred sides are reflected in the saloon mirror.

You know, Jonah Hex is totally awesome. Its a shame that his movie did so poorly. But there are two reasons as to why that it did.

1: No one but the really hardcore DC fans even know who Jonah Hex is. I attended an advanced screening, most of the people were talking about seeing it simply because they could see it for free and they had nothing better to do. My guess was there were about 200+ people in that theater that day and , out of everyone there, I was most likely the only one who really knew the character. There was even one guy in line behind me who had to look the guy up on his phone just to see what the movie was about.

2: Hollywood. To bring in people that never heard of the character before, they just had to alter Jonah Hex and his world o make it more "appealing." But all that did was turn away true fans because of how untrue to the character the producers made him. Jonah doesn't have some kind of necromantic powers and he doesn't have a working girl love interest. Those were just excuses to make him seem "hardcore" and bring Megan Fox's wooden stiff acting/sex appeal to the movie. I consider this move very stupid because Jonah Hex is already totally bad ass and he doesn't need any help being any more bad ass.

I haven't seen the movie, but from what I heard, yeah, it does sound bad.

I know, he's like the Boba Fett of the DC universe. Bad ass bounty hunter with a troubled past, not to mention feared and recognized where ever he goes.

Of the two, Hex is my favorite, all-out. My birthday's coming up soon, and I ordered a Hex graphic novel (tried to get the Showcase Presents collection, since it has more Hex for the buck, but it's outta stock right now).

I just have to blame the Batman episode that showcased Jonah as my introduction to the guy. ANYBODY who can tick off Ra's Al Ghul and survive is just badass incarnate.
