Loosely based on my most recent poll: [link]I took the liberty of comparing styles. On the left is the normal animation style, on the right is (possibly) a newer style (with a nose!) and horrible shirt shading.

You could also say they're both regular anime(ish) Drews but one's more simplified than the other, but yeah

Well I know it goes without saying the old style is a lot easier to animate, but the new style looks rather dynamic and such. I suppose when it comes down to it, one could be used for less serious projects (Ie humor, short skits, or quick animations) while the other for more refined, story related animations. I have to agree though, your style is getting really unique and can be easily spotted amongst the others I'm watching.

We'll see. I'm trying to figure out how I can make my newer style easy to animate as well, though it seems now the older style is even easier for me to draw than before.

Speed and ease comes with experience. ^_^ I have a friend who finished his degree in digital arts, and when I'm watching him sketch up a picture, he can do so in 10 to 20 minutes. I find myself overwhelmed at how it's already defined as far as outlines go. I imagine you find your old style really easy to do because you draw a lot more than you normally would when animating compared to when drawing regular pictures.
I'm sure you'll find a way to make your new style much easier to animate given a little time practicing it. Keep up the good work!
