Reminds me a lot of Anne of Cleves, Henry 8th's fourth wife, though she was german.Love it.

I actually think Punz was a german princess and if I'm right the Frozen-Tangled-Little Mermaid theory fits perfectly.

I think King of Corona and Queen of Arendelle are siblings. What do you think about that theory?

I always thought Rapunzel took place around the same time as Snow White both being German tales and all, and Snow White was clearly 1500's. nice red for her.

It would be. And yes the red works better for rapunzel than pink. Doesn't Disney know that pink makes brunettes look blotchy? As for other brunettes I think Belle doesn't really have a pink dress her winter outfit is more reddish perhaps a wine color, and her Christmas dress was red so....... yeah brunettes and redheads shouldn't wear pink.

Nope, but little girls prefer the pink and they are the target audience.

True, no wonder they force Ariel to keep hers around even with the redesign I hear even she hates it.

Research has shown that the location of Corona is most likely Poland, if not Scandinavia. Plus, estimates find that Tangled must have taken place around 18-19th century. There are some items in the film that can help determine the era. For example, during the kingdom dance sequence, there is a shot of Rapunzel and Eugene in a bookstore or library examining an atlas. The atlas has both North and South America in the Western Hemisphere, so the film has to have been set much later than 1492 (Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue...).

What you say is true, but I must tell you that my series is not official or anything. I like to use places, colors and eras that I personally like and I need enough references. My work is my own interpretation of certain things, but that does not make it less historical.

Rapunzel is German, but so is this dress! What you have there is what's usually referred to as a Cranach dress, circa 1530 or so. You get some Italian dresses that look similar, but without the wide horizontal front lacing and brustfleck, and those are circa 1500. So you chose the right dress for her nationality after all!

Loved! The gold and red in the gown are beautiful. I love the sleeves - what this style of sleeves are called? I always wanted to know!
I agree with the long hair - honestly, I prefer Rapunzel with long golden blonde, but brown in that pixie cut is unbearable - she looks like a hybrid of Dobby and Tonks! Ugh! It doesn't suit her face, what is not good considering that (at only for me) it's not the prettiest in a DP, with that Dobby eyes!
I love the headdress, what's the name? The necklace is a nice touch.

As I stated before, I use the Disney movie, not the original fairy tale.

Most people know in the movie when Flynn Rider/Eugene cut her hair it turned brown and lost its power.

Yes, but I think it would naturally grow again. Or she could use some hairpieces

Very nice! She reminds me strongly of Belle in this picture. Probably because she has longish brown hair instead of cut short brown hair and a red dress like Belle had in Enchanted Christmas. I can still tell she's Rapunzel, though.

Oh, of course. I think she would grow it out, too. At least a little. Unless she finds she really really likes it short.

Really pretty, but Rapunzel is Germanic. She'd be from Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium etc..
