Auuuughhh... This is what happens when I try to tell myself I can paint digitally on my tablet without sketching line art.
I have absolutely no patience when it comes to coloring/painting.... but BEYOND THAT, let's just get to the IchiRuki and ignore how awful this piece actual is, shall we?

For "fear" I left the realm of creativity for a bit in order to pay homage to some delicious classic IchiRuki back from the good ol' days of the Soul Society arc when all was glorious and wonderful. Rukia's internal monologue in the moments before her execution is so beautiful, and, of course, chock-full of IchiRuki ship and love. Also, it is part of one of the few places where Ichigo is Rukia's strength -- instead of the other way around.

The speech is as follows:
恐ろしくはない................. I have no fear
私は良く生かされた.......... I was able to live well
恋次達と出会い............... I met Renji and the others,
兄様に拾われ................. was taken in by Nii-sama,
海燕殿に導かれ.............. was guided by Kaien-dono,
そして........................... and
一護に救われた.............. I was saved by Ichigo.
