For some reason I just cannot get enough of this movie!!! Well, perhaps it's more that I cannot get enough of this character. The movie really isn't the best thing... but Megamind's character is so captivating!!! I'm totally addicted to him.As you can see, I'm sure.
Also "Bernard." ADORABLE!!! "Intellectual dweeb" ftw.
Most of these sketches were done with references from the movie -- I'm sure you can tell which ones were drawn from memory since the style is a bit rougher and the facial expressions too canned. I'm beginning to learn a lot by sketching the Megamind expressions, though. There's a lot more to the shape of the eye than you might think. Even the shape of the iris changes the expression! And showing the gums above the teeth can make a smile seem wider... It's all so cool!
I'm such a nerd. In every way. XD I love it.
