Woah, now... O_o; Uhura is a fantastic character -- she's smart, strong, kind, and talented... She loves her crewmates and Captain like family and is willing to sacrifice everything for them. Her presence on the Bridge in The Original Series was an incredibly important statement about the potential of women, particularly of black women, to succeed and be the equals of all men. She was an important role model to a great many people including Martain Luther King Jr. and actress Whoopi Goldberg... She was the first person to perform an interracial kiss on television... And just an all around BAMF.

I realize that ship-wars and character slandering are things young fans are prone to do -- I won't lie and say that I never did the same when I was your age. I actually sincerely hope that the unfounded hate and violence displayed toward characters acts as a healthy vent so that young fans don't do the same thing toward their schoolmates. However, I would prefer it if you vented these feelings among your friends and not in the comments section of my art. Thank you.
