Description This is how Beren saw LΓΊthien, in Silmarillion (another piece of Tolkien's major work). It's a bit different in the book, though.. I didn't remember the scene well when I made the drawing.
I painted it in a hurry, so the scenery is not quite good as it could be.

Love LΓΊthien's pose. She's balanced so well! Although I have to say she looks slightly cross.

Ahah! Yes, I have to agree that there's a bit of Morgan le Fay in LΓΊthien's expression, which doesn't suit her at all. Thank you for your comment on such a sloppyish picture!

And yesterday, I found that my memory was even worse than I thought. I'd already commented on the digital version of this. Although that was seven years ago, so maybe that excuses it ...

Sure sure,ahah!

Whoa... it really was seven years ago. Time passes so quickly! To think that our children didn't even exist at the time, and now we can't imagine our lives without them.

The leaves were long, the grass was green
the hemlock-umbels tall and fair
and in the glade a light was seen
of stars in shadow shimmering.
Tinuviel was dancing there
to music of a pipe unseen.
the light of stars was in her hair
and in her raiment glimmering.

I simply adore your painting style, and the springy colours.

I have read it just once, but I intend to read it again more carefully. It's a very rich book. ^_^

I must agree with the rich part Remembering the Names is Murder the first time you read the book but when you read it for the second time its much much easier to remember the names and family trees so its much nicer

A little more effort and it would be spectacular, instead of very good. I 'm glad to see such good composition.

I think it's a very pretty picture. If you didnt rush it, it would be better, I would prefer that
