the alliance between the dark moon, her expression (especially her eyes) and her "devil" hair make the drawing full of energy even if it's far from your better drawings in term of quality 
also have you tried redesigning your old drawing (you showed in your journal )?

The pose is fantastic and there is a ton of energy in this image. If it were me, the only thing I would change is a little more darkness on the underside of the figure, just to make the rest POP a little bit more. Great job.
