That sketch was done a few months ago, when I was playing with styles and design ideas... so I drew Amy dressed in qipao... or cheongsam, how's that chinese dress called?

Some people 've been asking how do I do redesigns. I figured I won't do a proper tutorial - seriously, it would been much easier if I were asked questions - so I decided to describe every redesign rather that writing a basic concept of redesigning.
This was a random idea. I has a couple of qipao blouses, and I thought - why don't I try to dress Amy up in qipao?
All qipao in general have a nice simple design that is meant to show the beaty of woman's body. So drawing Amy's qipao wasn't hard. Because it's so short, I also gave her pants of some sort - might as well be white jeans. Puff sleeves aren't qipao style - but I like adding puff sleeves to Amy's dresses, it brings out her child cuteness. You can't see, but those three clasps are hearts - 'Shop Watercolor filter ruined the outlines, yess...
I somewhat Like the pose. However unnatural it may seem, it looks both elegant, dynamic and cute.
Thinking about it, I think that this outfit might be quite practical - much more than Amy's usual dress. This qipao is quite elegant, yet pretty; growing up girl and a little child are brought to a balance of some sorts. Add some patterns and it can be more cute or more sophisticated; patterns can as well erase any need in accessories. Plus, this outfit is comfortable enough to run, jump, perform acrobatic tricks and fight - all of this without worrying about your panties showing around. I just can't imagine how Amy is doing all of it in her dress, with her underwear constantly seen - and she's not a pantyshot character for sure.
