Description It was a cool day in the mountains of Nohalion, it had been some time now since Neroe brought the two Drow acolytes back to her home village with her, it was quite a hassle keeping them under wraps, and especially now with Briiza posing as her friend May and going about town. At least May's parents have been quite helpful.

Also some of the townsfolk, like May's childhood bullies have become increasingly suspicious of things, especially the way 'May' has been acting lately. So Neroe found herself having a harder time keeping Briiza from arousing any suspicion to the situation at hand.

Briiza was on another one of her excursions for information, she set out for the nearby forest, and found a cool stump to sit on, as she began to jot down notes in her journals about the wildlife, plantlife, and more. "So much data, I will surely receive an award and a position as a professor at the University once we get home." she smiled to herself, a passing rabbit taking her interest, so she decided to sketch it, much like the cute drawings she'd seen around the home she was staying at.

She was so engrossed in her work, she had no idea of the impending dangers that awaited her.

Meanwhile, Neroe was busily searching for her, knowing she had recently been prone to bugging the townsfolk, as according to them she had been interrogating members of the community all morning before suddenly dissapearing. "What am I to do with that girl..." she griped as she grabbed her gear, mainly her bow and arrow, knowing Briiza had a horrible tenacity for wandering off to dangerous parts that were forbidden for anyone but rangers and hunters to go, or escorted merchants.

Briiza was busily jotting in her notebook until her thoughts were interupted by a sound, it was like a cross between a growl of a wolf and a hiss of a snake. "How rude..." she thought as she set down her pen. "Don't you know I'm on an important fact-finding mis-" but she cut off her speech as she was suddenly staring down a mean looking Basilisk not but 15 feet away on a rock, she had her about these creatures, one of the dangers of surface, their breath is said to turn living to stone, or perhaps cover them in stone, like that worker who fell into the clay works. It was eyeing her intently, and drooling from the long snake-like tongue that protruded from it's mouth, which dripped some type of gunk which touched the ground, and appeared to harden what it landed on. "Now just wait a minute..." she said as she grabbed her stuff and stood, backing up slowly.

Neroe was tracking Briiza like she would an animal, via her footprints, she had the trail quickly and was on it like lightning, she knew where Briiza was headed, it was bad news... and she was ill-equipped to deal with the dangers that awaited there. She arrived just in time to see what was happening, she drew her bow and fired an arrow at the Basilisk, distracting it for a moment. "Briiza, run, now!" she grabbed Briiza's arm and dragged her away from the woods, the Basilisk gave chase, spitting it's breath at them, they narrowly dodged it, once they were out of the woods they were safe, because the Basilisk dare not expose itself to the sun, the overbrush was it's safety, the sun would be it's weakness.

When they arrived back at town Neroe slapped Briiza in the face. "What do you think you're doing?! How many times do I have to tell you not to wander off like that?!" Briiza held her cheek and teared up a bit. "I'm sorry, but science..." Neroe just sighed and hugged, this prompted a response from the bully married cousins that had had them over to dinner a few nights before. "We knew it, you're lesbian lovers." said the guy, the girl snarked "Yeah, I always said she was your Drow girlfriend."

Neroe was perturbed. "I told you, she's not my gir-... ah screw it..." Neroe said as she grabbed Briiza in a tight embrace, and gave her a passionate kiss on the lips. Briiza was taken by surprise when she was grabbed. "What are yo-" but her words were cut off by Neroe's lips locking with hers... being Drow, she couldn't help but wrap her arms around Neroe and kissed her back. "Ick... let's get out of here." the girl declared to her cousin/husband as the two of them walked away disgusted. Neroe knew that sometimes going along with things would get them to stop, she broke the kiss and blushed darkly at Briiza. "Sorry... I just..." she turned her head away in embarassment. "I had no idea you felt that way, this is great, I can add this to my research!" Briiza said with excitement, before grabbing Neroe's head, and giving her another passionate kiss, and then running back off to May's home.

Neroe just held her hand to her lips as Briiza ran off "But wait I don-!" she breathed for a moment... "Actually... that was really nice..." she smiled as she grabbed her stuff and headed back to her own place.

Interesting story--nice to see Neroe play the heroine for a change!

It does suggest that maybe Neroe at least might have been bi-curious all along?

Indeed. ^^ And yes, Neroe does have a courageous and strong woman inside of her, just in Negeemiliel she played the victim a lot it would seem. And well let's be honest, who isn't a little bi-curious at some point or such in their lives?
