Description
  He was discovered ten years after the war, tucked away in his icy shelter. It was snowing that day, with a snow storm soon to come in. Someone appeared in the frost, a familiar figure. A ghost. A remnant of the past he thought he forgot. The stallion's bronze horn spotless, unlike the last time he had seen it, covered in blood and dirt. The bronze matched an armored front leg that he remembered was lame. His body was not as muscular, tho it was still a firm frame. Ten years have passed after all...

  They stood, several feet apart, still as the rocks around them, for what seemed like forever. White smoke around their muzzles the only indication they were living beings. Previously closest comrades, now two strangers with regret and guilt in their gaze.

  "Good to see you, brother," the silence was broken by the equine's voice. This was the first time in a decade Ben Taro heard a voice other than his own. It sounded unnatural in this environment. Like it didn't belong in this place where the only sound for years was the gushing of the wind. He almost wanted to hush the stallion for disturbing the mountain's peace.

  Ben Taro stood silently, then lowered his head and made a motion that didn't quite register with his mind. It was as if the body was moving on it's own accord, an automated movement that was engrained in his muscles' memory. It was a greeting among soldiers, among brothers.

  "Katar." His voice was raspy and as cold as the air that surrounded them.
