Description
As an aid to understanding the predictive aspects of the Tarot I decided to keep a diary in which I would make notes on the layout of cards in unusual readings - the purpose being to check back on them at a future date in order to gain more insight into what any particular reading was originally trying to signify.

Problem: how to write down in note form the positions of all the cards in a given spread whilst retaining their immediate visual identities.

Solution: devise a set of symbols to represent each of the cards.

This I did, and here they are. Please feel free to use these for your own purposes . I also devised a full set of symbols for the Major Arcana
