I'm too embarrassed to describe this drawing. I'm terribly sorry for drawing an imaginary scene from an imaginary Big Picture Show sequel. Jonny's choosing between good (Captain Melonhead) and evil (Plank/Timber the Dark Shard), if that's not clear. Timber's unleashed Bro on the cul-de-sac and the Eds are struggling to stop him.You can barely tell how neat the pressure senisitivity thing on my tablet looks here because the lines are so thin, but I think I should get into the habit of using that for drawing the Eds. The color thing with the Eds/Bro in the background is loosely based on a neat super soakers EEnE commercial I saw once as a kid and recently rediscovered.

That'd be better than how the only difference between Timber and Splinter right now is that Timber doesn't have a mop attached to his head. XP I kinda like to think that part of the difference is that Plank is now extra detailed to reflect his insanity, like in that one awesome closeup from that scene.

I'm not entirely sure that movie calls for a sequel, that'll just give us more questions and more dissapointment...

I wasn't disappointed or left with questions by the movie, though there are things I'll always wonder about the show in general. But the movie dealt with two things I always dreamed the show would address (Eddy's abusive past, and the mysterious factory behind the cul-de-sac), and it surrounded those revelations with interesting little character-based stories, new locations, one final summertime adventure, and an ending full of development. After being mostly disappointed by 'Take This Ed's attempt at a series finale, it was nice that this time they had so much closure.
I mainly don't think it needs a sequel because I think the less we know about the next stage of the kids' lives, the happier the ending is. I still like to imagine what could happen next, though. These characters are just too interesting for me to forget about. :]

Their developments over the seasons felt natural to me most of the time, but I'll always miss the subtleties of season 1. I like the end of the show because they started turning back from the exaggerations so things like Eddy caring about his friends or Edd actually participating in his friends' shenanigans could happen again. It'd be nice if they started acting more like their season 1 selves now that they don't have as many conflicts to get dramatic about. Ah, the possibilities...
