My submission for Day 6 of Dinovember. I’m sorry that this post is so late. I was kind of tied up with working on a paper for school, as well as with going through voting, so I wasn’t able to post this earlier.

Anyway, here we have a female Allosaurus fragilis with a nest, watching over a newly laid clutch of eggs. With over a dozen potential future allosaurs growing inside their shells, their eggs buried beneath heaps of dead ferns and dried mud, she fiercely guards her brood, keeping a sharp eye out for any skulking scavengers lurking about.

The coloration of the Allosaurus here was partially inspired by one of the Carnotaurus figures from the toy line for the first Jurassic Park film. The overall design of the animal was based on the work of Fred Wierum.
