Donald Duck (c) Disney.I've classified this as fan-art, but I'm really not sure -how- to classify it. I was working at Disney when I drew this. We'd just come off "The Lion King 1.5" and were about to start "The Three Musketeers", which was a Mickey, Donald and Goofy version of the tale. I was on the Donald Team - we had to handle both ducks (Daisy and Donald) and Goofy, as well as a bit of Clarabelle. I have to admit, the fact that I like drawing ducks was the main factor in my choosing that team. Donald is far more interesting a personality than Mickey, too.
Anyway, before we start inbetweening on a new project, we're told to spend a day studying the model sheets and then sketching the characters we'll be working on. This is one of the Donald drawings I did that survived.
I should probably mention here that the sketches I'm uploading today are all from mid-2003, during my 'Disney Period'.
I found a lot of old pics when I moved.

I'm Curious; A friend of mine told me Eisner fired the entire animation department. Is this True?

Yep, all the 2D animators in the US AND Australia were either fired or moved to 3D. At the moment, 2D animation is pretty much dead. This may change again in the future, though - fingers crossed!

Anyway, I'm quite impressed at your innate talent for drawing duck-characters so fluently .... beaks have always been a challange for me, but I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it
