Description
Commission for Cearenbow. This is the first illustration of five - this poor lass is about to turn into a hulking werewolf. Stay tuned for the other four.

The line of action is strong, creating a great expression through her pose alone. Nice silhouette.
Only problem I have with this is her feet don't feel like they are planted to a ground plane, especially her right foot (our left).

Simply astounding pose. You can read the confusion and fear in her eyes and the adrenaline is well woven into the picture, however simple the background is. You have quite the knack for human anatomy and it makes me wish i could boast of the same

Not on a computer. I do all my cleanup by hand with a pacer (mechanical pencil). Then I scan it in, use Photoshop to color it, and color the lines a darker version of the fill color.

He does commission everyone. He even tried to commission me at one point and I'm a writer. What he wanted me to write really squicked me though so I declined.

You really have this style down. Ever thought of working for Disney? Although no, you're better than all of their artists..

I already did work at Disney, at the Sydney studio. Worked on "TLK 1.5" and "The Three Musketeers". ^_^() Working there really helped me develop as an artist, but the unpaid overtime was insane and I didn't like living in Sydney. Sometimes I think leaving is the craziest thing I ever did - but I think I'll be able to find my own way in the animation industry. I hope so, anyway. @_@
(and believe me, I'm not better than their artists - you should see the amazing sketches that they simply draw and throw away there! They're so talented that they do stuff that they dispose of that would be another artist's proudest piece. It's an incredible work environment in that regard - ultra-inspiring.

Certainly seems to have done you some amazing good, if you're so talented. I don' think I'd be able to animate, but I would -love- to design characters.

Oh VERY nice, I love the pose on this one. Capturing an entire action/mood in a single frame can be tricky.
I think it might be more dramatic if you tried using the harder shadow edges instead of the softer ones. Give the shadows a push as well, make the darks darker to make it a bit more of an action/horror cartoon look. That's just a suggestion, though. It's great as it is.
Can't wait to see the others.
