Description
I'm only a few minutes late this time! I've had this done since the beginning
of the month which I meant to add a little bit over the month but that didn't
happen >u< I added a lot of little things which I normally don't do

I wrote a prompt to it. I'm a bit rusty so sorry if it's bad >n<

For atmosphere

Every girl wishes she were a mermaid at least once in her life. But to actually
find out they were real, especially in a world of doubt, it would make one
seem crazy. So it had to be kept a secret.

She lived near the sea and went out to swim everyday. It was lonely at first,
living near no other girls her age, but during one snorkeling trip she found a
playmate. Her. A mermaid, to her surprise. Well, they weren't
playmates yet. The mermaid had disappeared almost as quickly as she had
appeared.

Who wouldn't go back when you found something so exciting and mythical?
Everyday she went back. Little by little she coaxed the mermaid out and
quickly they became friends. Their friendship was something forbidden and
something that should never last, but they didn't care. They were closer and
bonded quicker than any other friend she would ever have. The bottom of a
small drop off quickly became their little world, away from anyone and any
thing. They were safe to play there.

Time was a precious thing. Especially when one of the pair couldn't exactly
breathe. Or at least, not in the sea. But the other half was on a schedule as
well. A mermaid community notices if one is gone too long. Their meetings
were always short but the highlight of every day.

Over the years, their friendship grew but so did another feeling. Neither could
deny this feel for each other but in the water, how could they communicate?
Even screaming in the water is just bubbles. Hidden in their silent world, only
heart beats and eye contact let them know their feelings for each other. More
than once, she thought of if she had been born with the same magic in her
blood. How much she wanted to spend forever with her. If only...

They fit together so easily, graceful bodies moving as one in the water until
they sunk to the bottom and just floated, staring at each other. That was all
they needed. The warmth of the water around each body combined as they
touched, pulling each other close.

Her time was almost up. The calm water's currents wrapped around her
tightly, bringing the uncomfortable suffocation. But who could focus on that
when the most beautiful eyes were staring back into yours? The bubbles of
air rushed out of her mouth and raced up to the surface as her lips parted.
The familiar taste of salt filled her mouth and her vision began to blacken.

The touch of the lips she had thought of for so many years caused her to
close her eyes. It was intoxicating. Even though this was wrong, it was only
and always right. For them. For those two. So they let go, they give in to
each other.

And just like that, she let's herself drown....
