Description
These are my favorite and least favorite outfits of Misty from the Pokemon franchise.
Bare in mind these are just my opinions on the following clothes, so please don;t take my thoughts to personally..Plus this also felt like a good chance to get a few thoughts off my chest.

Favorite
6. The Kimono from The Ghost of Maiden's Peak Kanto era. Even though pink isn't very tomboyish, i think she looked kinda cute in that kimono thought don't think her hair would be that short while it's out of it's ponytail.
5. Her Alola visit outfit Alola, Alola! and Heart of Fire! Heart of Stone! Sun and Moon era. Now while I have stated that I REALLY didn't like seeing Misty in the sun and moon art style. I did at least like the outfit the made up for her when she and Brock visited Ash in Alola.
4. Nurse outfit in  A Chansey Operation Kanto era. Again while not tomboyish the nurse uniform she wore looked cute on her and she wore it during one of my favorite moments were Misty comforted a injured baby cubone. Plus it became kind of a tradition for female characters to wear the Nurse Joy uniform.
3. Her pokemon pikachu eevee lets go outfit. This one is kind of a odd one out as it's from a Pokemon game not the anime, but I think the outfit they came up with is fitting and like a modernized version of her original anime outfit.I also think the shoes are more practical for a water type trainer ones you can easily slip on and off.
2. Her Kanto and Battle frontier era outfit. I liked this outfit as it made her look more tomboyish and even a bit older, (this was back when I thought the characters were slowly aging into their teens until B&W dropped the bomb shell )
1. Her original series outfit. Yeah you probably saw this one coming but hey it just felt right to include it. Plus this outfit is what helped me get into converse sneakers. Also the read suspenders (Braces here in UK) make it stand out and not look too plain.

Least favorite
6 The plain mono coloured swim suit from , Alola, Kanto, Sun and Moon era. Out of all the swimsuits Misty has worn throughout the anime this one feels like the most boring, just plain navy Blue with no patterns or pictures or anything.
5 The silly makeover given to her by Jessie and James in Pokemon Fashion Flash, Kanto era. Was bad enough Misty got 2 "Oh the indignity" Moments from being hit by fire attacks in this episode let alone getting a silly make over no thanks the 2 pillocks Jessie and James, and I may get flack for this but I think Ash and Brock were gits for laughing at her, I'm one of those who think if you really were someones friend you wouldn't laugh at them like that.
4 The Mermaid costume from The Misty mermaid Kanto era and again in Cerulean Blues in Pokemon chronicles. I've mentioned before I don't really like this mermaid/ Disney Ariel knock off outfit Misty wore. Even if she is a water pokemon trainer and all I just don't see her as a Mermaid.  For one it like kinda impractical for swimming in to me , and how did she get her hair longer? Is it a wig or hair extensions they never acknowledge it. Not to mention it triggered all that silly fan-art and fics of Misty playing the part as Ariel along with other pokemon characters as TLM characters.....Which I dislike a LOT.
3 The ninja outfit in  Ariados, Amigos, Johto era. While the colour blue suits her. But not to be sexist but I don't think long pants suit her or any main female pokemon character for that matter. Misty even says it feels funny wearing longer pants.
2 Female Team Rocket uniform in  Ditto's Mysterious Mansion, Kanto Era. While it was done for laughs but I feel a little uneasy seeing Misty a minor, wearing the same rather slutty (if you pardon the expression) skimpy and fan servicey uniform that that cow Jessie ( my least favorite female character might I add) wears. And for the record I feel Ash and Brock didn't look good in the male TR uniform either.  Any of my OC's would say something like "I'd never shatter my dignity by wearing that ridiculous get up you call uniforms!"
1 The Army uniform in Tanks a lot and Plant It Now... Diglett Later from Johto era. Now this involves a particular anime cliche I dislike in general were a character or character's suddenly change into a silly costume right out of nowhere (I can understand it happening in a cartoon like Looney toons and Hannah Barbara but just feels silly in pokemon in my opinion) In this case when Ash and co are planning how to stop the Arbotank and while planing how to stop those Shredder like wannabes invading the town old old folks. Ash and co along with Jessie and James wear army uniforms and even get a command tent right out of nowhere.
As well as looking stupid in it as did Ash and the others. This outfit also had Misty in long pants which I don't think suit her like I said before.
