Description Muscavermis: Moss Maggot
Time Period: Early Allocene

Habitat: Aquamaphylus Marshes, Breviphylus Prairies, Arborphylus Forests, Titanophylus Rainforests, Desert, Astoradice Mangroves, Beach, Oasis
Diet: Autotroph

These bizzare Phyluspinids are very specialized, unlike their relatives they rely entirely on photosynthesis to survive, lacking any oral cavity or stomach. To get around they drag themselves with their muscular antenna. While not truly social, these creatures can often be found in large groups as a defense mechanism from the various predators that would eat them. A thick, hard structure on the front of their body is an effective defense mechanism from most predators that are smaller, around the same size, or slightly larger. In large enough groups these organisms can even fend off Linguavenatorids.

(This little section at the end is to mention that these are basically heavily inspired by Pikmin, however this is about as close as they will actually look to Pikmin, in the future, while they will be mostly unmentioned, they will have multiple subspecies, however these different subspecies will not work together, instead each subspecies will be limited to a specific environment. And they will not have an onion like plant helping them outside of the Moss they have basically become hyperdependent on)
