These Monolobitids quickly dominated most ecosystems as the dominant "Insect" clade. Outcompeting any terrestrial Patellatestids that were not specialized, creating a small scale extinction event. Unlike most organisms, they developed more complex eyes, ones that are similar to compound eyes on Earth. They quickly invaded every biome on the planet, adapting their skin to survive in each species individual habitat. Their sensory organs under the eyes are a major part in their domination, allowing them to sense predators and prey without having to visually see it. This is because the sensory organs are loaded with electroreceptors and vibration sensors.
