Description

OK, so a little backstory to explain the origins of this picture: Back in Spring, a little before Easter, my Mom set up a wreath outside our front door. We only meant to keep it up until Easter Sunday, but to our surprise, a bird had set up a nest in the wreath. And not too long after that, we found eggs in the nest!

At first, we were a little worried. We were constantly coming in and out the front door (especially my brother who lies to smoke out there), and every time we did, the momma bird had to leave her nest. Given that the spring also had several surprise cold fronts, we were worried that the eggs might not hatch at all. But then, last Sunday, I went out the front door to meet a friend, glanced at the birds nest, and what do you know? The eggs hatched!

It's been over a week now. This picture was taken yesterday on my phone. I'm surprised how much they've grown in such little time. I might update on things as they grow, will let you know about that later. I hope this brings as much joy to you guys as it has to me.
