Aelita: Secret ninja technique! Kitty glomp attack~
April: M-my homework!!
So I just wanted to make a pic of Aelita and April together and let you guys know Aelita's relations with her.
The two are good friends, to the point of having a sibling-like relationship. But with that, comes the occasional argument. There are definitely times when April often scolds Aelita for her occasional clumsiness and frequent recklessness and where Aelita wants to (or sometimes even WILL) slap April in the face for her selfishness and ungratefulness towards the turtles.
Either way, they have a deep psychic connection, since April has psychic mind abilities while Aelita has telekinesis, an ability that very few in her family line have ever possessed. They also share a common enemy, the Kraang, seeing as April is constantly targeted by them, and Aelita was their captive for 10 whole years (Aelita is 16 by the way) and mutated into a humanoid cat because of them.

And yeah, to be honest, I really wanted to smack April upside the head numerous times throughout Season 2. She's gotten a little better, but she can definitely improve on her attitude

While that's true, she wasn't the only one going through a rough time. Yet she ACTED like she was the only one in the world with problems. And to take it out on her FRIENDS, the ones who saved her LIFE on numerous occasions, just made me have deep disdain for her character. At least in the 2012 version.

agree. I liked her more in season 1. I mean yeah she was sassy still but at a level i could tolerate. To be honest it still feels like she and the turtles haven't REALLY sorted out the problems from Mutation situation...i was hoping they would have talked it out more and etc. Not to mention hoping there was an episode where she deeply regretted what happened, like the turtles were in GREAT Danger and it struck her hard because she was afraid of losing them, especially since they just made up and etc.
I mean i don't think April's bad in the 2012, but sometimes...too much drama. I prefered her 2003/2007 ver. more. Even her IDW ver.

That definitely would have been a better development for her relationship with the turtles. I'm glad I'm not the only one who was hoping that there'd be an episode like that. Unfortunately, all we got was a "Thank you for saving me from Karai" and a kiss on the cheek for Donnie. Like....that's not a real apology. Nor is it proof that she regretted her behavior towards them. I never truly got over that.
I like those versions better, myself. The 2003 and 2007 versions were better developed and delivered far less drama. Plus I felt those versions of April were significantly more grateful to the turtles for all they did to help/save her.

agree. I mean I don't hate her or anything I think April still has need and time to grow and etc. but what I don't like is how Nickelodeon rushed it, much less the whole Shipping drama. *Seriously if they have time for that then they should have time for a better apology T_T* *While I'm more of a Casey X April fan (Since i'm used it it more) I'm at the same time okay with April X Donnie (Not a big fan of it, but at the same time don't mind the pairing since there are cute fanfics of the two) I guess i'm saying i just don't like how she's in the middle of a love triangle, how Donnie sometimes obsesses over her, and how April just doesn't seem to know what she wants (Especially all those moments where it seems like she toys with Donnie's heart. Honestly at the end of a foot too big I was hoping Donnie's obsession would end, and that the kiss he got from April just meant friendship and etc.* Though its not just with the apology in mutation situation its also in Buried secrets; I thought Mikey deserved an apology from everyone *Yes it was funny that he rubbed it in their faces about him being right but still* Though I will give April some props; she did defend Mikey in the next ep (Like she's learning to appreciate him better, but still) (Though i sort of had mixed feelings about April being somewhat part alien...I mean Honestly i don't really care, since in the mirage comics April was a living drawing, but at the same time I was hoping April would be more part Neutrino *Idk I always imagined Neutrinos being more connected brain waves or something/or being more one with their world* though I don't like how they just assumed her as a mutant...she's more like...an Alien hybrid (At least to men 
Yep. I mean yeah she had her temper but she was still more grown up about it. Her 1987 ver was alright; but I'm more towards 2003, 2007, and IDW. She was more mature, and yes she did have her stubborn moments and temper, but was more tolerable. I guess its because she's either a young adult/college student or something *shrugs*...I mean in all fairness to the 2012 April she still is a teenager *And teens have their drama moments...and are figuring themselves out* and its still new to her. But still 2012 April still has a lot more growing up to do and hopefully as season 3 continues and the next seasons come She'll be more mature and grown (I still have hope for her).

I actually feel bad for Donnie, to be honest.
April knows full well that he likes her and yet doesn't reject him properly. In fact, she just eggs him on, you know? We all know that she's going to be with Casey, but she just keeps both him and Donnie wrapped around her finger. If she wasn't interested in Donnie, she would have just told him outright that she wasn't going to date him or give him a chance.
There was even a time when Donnie told her that he was going to give up.
And WHAT does April do??
Kisses him full on the mouth and walks off like it was nothing at all. Like, really?? Someone says that they are going to give up pursuing a romantic relationship with her and she kisses them on the MOUTH?? How sadistic can she get?? She's toying with Donnie's emotions and further feeding into his deep crush on her, and that is NOT a cool thing to do in my book.
I mean, I know, a lot of Apriltello fans liked that moment. And I did too, at first. Then I thought even harder about it.....and I really was peeved by it.

Still April has much more growing to do and hopefully by the end of the series she'll become more mature.
Though its not just April...sometimes the others sort of tick me off. Casey with his arrogance and the fact he never seems to learn, Raph with his harshness, Leo being a bit more cocky than his previous generations, and sometimes how Mikey and Splinter's portrayed. (idk some of the endings to episodes like Mouser Attack, Parasectica, Panic in the sewers, Mikey has Shellacne, Buried Secrets, Follow the Leader, Casey Jones vs the Underworld, and the Croaking...i felt there should have been more of a heartfelt ending to it I mean what I like in those Episodes are the boys *Mostly the turtles* being able to learn and grow more...but i just felt there could have been...a bit more (Heck even the ending to Pizza Face annoyed me) though in the episode with Casey going against Shredder I was hoping there was more for Casey to learn to tone down his cockiness, like he goes though what the turtles do in the guantlet, i mean i'm sure he does...but still.* Even episodes where Splinter also learns too *Which will make him grow more as a Father*
Don't get me wrong, I love the 2012 series i think its AWESOME and great, especially with the new mutants and characters, but yet it differs to what most fans are use to, but still brings excitement ^^

what i really love about this series is the boys learn lessons from each mission, much less how they come so far from the 1st episode.
Leo was originally a wannabe hero (Which was pretty cool since we didn't see him like that in his past incarnations) who wanted to be perfect for everyone and be approved as a leader; not to mention really asserted his leader position. He also seemed insecure and lacked confidence in himself at times; but as episodes progressed he learned he didn't need to bare all the burden himself, not to mention learned what it truly meant to be a hero. Not to mention he acts like a teenager more.
Raph...well still hot-headed, but at the same time started out as an aggressive jerk (His other incarnations were still aggressive but i think the 2012 one's bit more
Donnie's character was REALLY well put out; yeah he's still the same loveable egghead we know and love but he shown not only his teen-side but maturity. I also love his spazy moments; they're just cute. But from the start he relied too much on his mind and technology (A problem we all face today
And Mikey...well he hasn't really changed a bit...but is much more sweeter and innocent (His other incarnations were cool too though) but we explore more on how Mikey feels; how he can tolerate what his bros say, but yet at the same time, certain things can make him feel crappy. We also get to see how he started from being immature to being much more responsible or grown. His bros may not always appreciate him but you can still tell they love him and are very protective of him. What i love his how he manages to show off his skills whenever anyone underestimates him. What i also like his how Mikey faces challenges as a ninja since he has trouble paying attention, but still shows that he won't let it stop him. He's also much more innocent; like his other incarnations he tries to see good in everyone, though he's more open and emotional about it. Mikey may still be mischievous, and a bit obnoxious but he has come very far since the beginning and hope to see him grow while still keeping his happy personality (Hopefully see his artistic side too)
