I know this is more sentimental than anything else. But I just wanted to show you guys what inspired me to start up my artwork.I had a cat (as seen above) named Jingle since I moved to the state that I am living in now. We had him for 17 years.....until he became weak and sick. He was so frail, could hardly stand up.....he was suffering. At the time I was in a depressed state, to the point of where I hardly had an interest in doing anything at all.
But this cat.....this wonderful cat who was suffering more than any of my family members and me combined.....got up and acted like his old self again. On his very last day on Earth, he was purring, meowing happily, rubbing our hands, and whenever he collapsed, he got back up again and just kept giving us so much love and affection.
After he died, I thought to myself.....what am I doing? Why aren't I embracing the things that I used to love, like he did? So I started up my artwork, drawing vigorously and proving to myself if someone or something who was suffering more than I can do what he loved to do most.....why can't I?
I wish I could thank him, but in a way, I feel like drawing is my way of saying thanks.

Your cat sounds like it was an awesome cat
Cat's in many respects are like humans, regardless of if they're suffering they'll try their hardest to make it seem like they're doing fine, it seems Jingle did that, and my family's last cat, Felix did that also, the poor bugger had to have one of his eyes out due to a tumor but he still played about and acted lazy like he usually was until he started to approach his last days also.

He was, that lazy little bugger used to do the funniest stuff, like wake my mother up while she was sleeping if he was hungry by tapping her on the nose with his paw XD
He also used to sleep on my bed regularly, mainly due to the fact that my bedroom was actually my sisters bedroom before I occupied it and due to my sister being an animal whisperer he always loved being either in her company or in her room, so sometimes I would wake up to find him snoozin' on one of my legs, forcing me to wait until he got up XD

Oh my goodness that sounds so much like Jingle! Jingle loved to sleep on my lap or the backs of my legs whenever I slept/slept laying face down. And he'd purr so much that it'd vibrate on my legs and keep me up for about an hour
He also loved other cats and dogs. He was the friendly type who didn't care whether another cat hissed at him or a dog barked at him, since he was so chill.
He'd be all like "Hey~ How's it goin'? How ya doin'?"
He was really talkative as well, responding to us with musical meows whenever we talked to him

Felix wasn't as chill with other cats or dogs, when he was young he very much fended for himself so he was less trusting, still, his lazy nature downplayed that somewhat XD
Also Felix, while talkative, didn't really meow as much as he -ow'd XD, his meows kinda sounded extremely short and came out as ow XD although he purred like a car motor when he wanted to

Jingle used to go "brrrrow" all the time whenever he was super happy

im sure Jingle will always appreciate all the hard work u dedicate to repay his "pick-me-up" moment even in his dire state

I know how it feels to lose a pet you've had for so long. We got our cat when I was quite young and I had known her most of my life. Granted, she was 21 when she died.
I had gone away the weekend before and got a text from my mum saying she had become very ill while I was gone, but she held on long enough for me to come home and passed away during the early hours of the next morning. I still miss her
